As with all plant material, the climate and geography
in which you live makes a BIG difference when selecting the grass
seed that is right for your lawn area and use.
Summit Seed's climate zone map divides the Country
into twelve different turfgrass zones. These zones and the Summit
Seed varieties recommended for use, were established using climate
history, data from turfgrass trials, and decades of the use and
misuse of turfgrass species throughout the United States.
However, these zones and recommendations should
be considered only as guides. Within each zone are typically areas
where conditions may vary considerably from the norm. A common example
would be extremes in elevation.
