Full-Color Wildflower Seed Mixture

Full-Color Annual Wildflower Seed Mixture
This wildflower seed mixture is designed specifically to provide a colorful succession of blooms all season long. Annuals exhibit beautiful, vibrant colors within one growing season.

This mixture is composed of 100% annual selections. The sole purpose is one year of beautiful color.

1 pound will cover approximately 500 square feet (20' x 25' area)

  • All annuals, will need to reused the following year
  • 18 vibrantly colored wildflowers
  • Can be sown in Spring or after the first frost in fall
Centaurea cyanus
"Corn Flower"
Grows 2 to 2 1/2 feet high. Blooms in spring-summer. Bright blue button-like flowers on multi-stemmed plants with grayish green leaves. Easy to grow from seed.
Clarkia unguiculata
"Godetia"
Grows 2 to 3 feet high. Blooms in spring-summer. Long graceful stems of single or double flowers in shades of white, rose, pink, salmon or purple. Seeds germinate readily and start to bloom in about 12 weeks.
Coreopsis tinctoria
"Calliopsis"
Grows 2 to 2 1/2 feet high. Blooms in summer. Dainty yellow and maroon flowers on long slender stems. Easily grown from seed.
Cosmos bipinnatus
"Cosmos"
Grows 3 to 4 feet high. Blooms in summer-fall. Daisy-like flowers are pink, white, rose or crimson with yellow centers. Foliage is lacy and multi-stemmed. Easy to grow from seed. Self-sows readily.
Gailladia pulchella
"Indian Blanket"
Grows to 2 feet high. Blooms in summer-fall. Showy daisy-like flowers are bright red with yellow tips. Flowers are single to semi-double. Easily grown from seed.
Gilia capitata
"Gilia"
Grows to 2 feet high. Blooms in summer. Numerous small, light blue flowers in a dense head-like cluster about 1 inch across. Leaves finely divided. Easy to grow.
Gypsophila muralis
"Baby's Breath"
Grows to 2 feet high. Blooms in summer. Well-branched stems with small blue-green leaves and delicate tiny white flowers in mass. Easily grown.
Iberis amara
"Rocket Candytuft"
Grows 1 to 1 1/2 feet high. Blooms in summer. Showy spikes of large, upright, cone-shaped flowers. Strong, sturdy stems. Easy to grow.
Linaria maroccana
"Toadflax"
Grows to 1 1/2 to 2 feet high. Blooms in spring-summer. Dainty, small flowers in shades of pink, yellow, white or purple on slender stems. Easy to grow.
Linum grandiflorum rubrum
"Flowering Flax"
Grows to 2 feet high. Blooms in summer. Showy, brilliant scarlet-red, cup-shaped flowers on long, wiry stems. Prolific bloomer. Easily grown from seed.
Lobularia maritima
"Sweet Alyssum"
Grows to 6 inches high. Blooms in spring-fall. Numerous clusters of small, white, sweet-smelling flowers.
Lupnus texensis
"Texas Bluebonnet"
Grows to 1 foot high. Blooms in spring. Spikes of blue-tipped with white flowers above dark green lobed leaves. Plants are bushy.
Malcolmia maritima
"Virginia Stock"
Grows to 8 inches high. Blooms in spring-summer. Small, dainty flowers in shades of red, pink, white or lavender with a sweet fragrance. Fast growing and prolific. Self-sowing.
Nemophila menziesii
"Baby-Blue Eyes"
Grows to 8 inches high. Blooms in spring-summer. Light blue saucer-shaped flowers bloom at the tips of trailing stems. Leaves are deeply cut.
Oenopthera lamarckiana
"Evening Primrose"
Grows to 3 feet high. Bloom sin spring-fall. Long stems bear large yellow cup-shaped flowers that re 2-3 inches across. Easily grown from seed.
Papaver rhoeas
"Flanders Poppy"
Grows to 1 to 1 1/2 feet high. Blooms in summer. Long stems support showy, bright red flowers with tissue paper-like petals and a black or white blotch at the base. Easy to grow.
Phlox drummondii
"Annual Phlox"
Grows to 1 1/2 feet high. Bloom sin spring-summer. Clusters of bright red or mixed colored flowers atop erect stems. Leaves are lance-shaped, pale green. Easily grown from seed.
Silene ameria
"Sweet William Catchfly"
Grows to 1 1/2 feet high. Bloom sin summer-fall. Showy terminal clusters of deep pink tubular flowers.
