Cut Flower Bouquet Wildflower Seed Mixture
This wildflower garden seed mixture is specifically designed so the various plants complement and accent one another while providing a succession of colorful blooms to take fresh cuttings from.

This mixture is composed of long-lived perennials, annuals and biennials that will provide a wide range of flowers for your cutting pleasure.

1 pound will cover approximately 500 square feet (20' x 25' area)

  • Works best in full sun areas, with adequate drainage
  • 15 different Wildflowers available for fresh cuttings
  • Can be sown in Spring or Fall
Ammi majus
"Bishop's Weed"
A perennial that grows to 2 1/2 feet high. Blooms in the summer. Showy lacy umbrellas of white flowers. Easy to grow and long lasting.
Calendula officinalis
"Pot Marigold"
An annual that grows up to 2 feet high. Blooms in spring-summer-fall, depending upon climate and time of sowing. Masses of bright daisy-like flowers that are single or semi-double in shades of orange, yellow or cream. Plants are busy.
Centaurea cyanus
"Cornflower"
An annual that grows to 2 1/2 feet high. Blooms April - June. Bright blue flowers (button like) on multi-stemmed plants. Easy to grow from seed, a favorite of many and also known as Bachelor's Button. Adds a bright splash of color the first year. Naturalized throughout North America.
Clarkia unguiculata
"Godetia"
Grows 2 to 3 feet high. Blooms in spring-summer. Long graceful stems of single or double flowers in shades of white, rose, pink, salmon or purple. Seeds germinate readily and start to bloom in about 12 weeks.
Consolida ambigua
"Rocket Larkspur"
A showy annual that grows 3-4 feet high with elegant spires of rounded blossoms in violet, pink, blue and white. Blooms in late spring to summer. Thrives in partial shade in well drained soils.
Coreopsis tinctoria
"Calliopsis"
Grows 2 to 2 1/2 feet high. Blooms in summer. Dainty yellow and maroon flowers on long slender stems. Easily grown from seed. Annual.
Cosmos bipinnatus
"Cosmos"
Grows 3 to 4 feet high. Blooms in summer-fall. Daisy-like flowers are pink, white, rose or crimson with yellow centers. Foliage is lacy and multi-stemmed. Easy to grow from seed. Self-sows readily. Annual.
Cosmos sulphureus
"Yellow Cosmos"
Annual. Grows to 3 1/2 feet high. Blooms in summer-fall. Bright yellow or orange saucer-shaped flowers. Easy to grow and showy.
Cynoglossum amabile
"Chinese Forget-Me-Not"
An annual that grows to 8 inches high with showy clusters of small delicate blue flowers. Blooms in spring to early summer and reseeds readily. Prefers well drained soils in partial shade.
Dianthus barbatus
"Sweet William"
A biennial that grows to 1 1/2 feet high. Blooms spring-summer. Dense clusters of numerous little flowers above shiny green foliage. Flowers range in color from red, white, pink, rose to lilac with a clove-like fragrance. Easily grown.
Gysophila muralis
"Baby's Breath"
Grows to 2 feet high. Blooms in summer. Well-branched stems with small blue-green leaves and delicate tiny white flowers in mass. Easily grown. Annual.
Iberis umbellata
"Globe Candytuft"
An annual that grows to 12 inches high. Blooms in summer. Large head of white, pink, rose, red or purple flowers. Easy to grow and showy.
Phlox drummondii
"Annual Phlox"
Grows to 1 1/2 feet high. Blooms in spring-summer. Clusters of bright red or mixed colored flowers atop erect stems. Leaves are lance-shaped, pale green. Easily grown from seed. Annual.
Rudbeckia hirta
"Gloriosa Daisy"
An annual that grows to 2 1/2 feet high. Blooms in summer. Related to the Black-Eyed Susan. The large blooms are golden, yellow, bronze or orange with dark brown centers. The plants are upright and branching. Hardy. Easy to grow.
Cilene armeria
"Sweet William Catchfly"
Grows to 1 1/2 feet high. Blooms in summer-fall Showy terminal clusters of deep pink tubular flowers. Annual.
